Microsoft announced on January 9th that Scalebound, a highly anticipated RPG from Platinum Games, has been cancelled. The would-be director of the game, Hideki Kamiya, apologized to fans and swore something like this would never happen again. Since tyhe announcement, people have been very angry at the cancellation, even prompting a change.org petition to petition Platinum to continue work on the game. The general consensus is that Microsoft are at fault for the cancellation of this highly anticipated game. What happened? How could it have been avoided? What should Platinum do going forward? Microsoft?
